I'm gonna catch them all IN MY MOUTH...

Hello there...
I was planning to get online with my NDSI today after buying that Wii/ds wifi connector but my lovely boyfriend told that was a waste of money since he just bought a D-link with wifi... But waiting until thursday/friday is not much fun. But I'l try to keep it together anyway...
Today is Norways day 17 May 1814, idependence day blahblah, That so important that I just told you that it is.... And everyone in norway loves eating mudkips. :3

Anyway back to something more game related...
I'm learning japanese with my DSI! Yes indeed... I'm just as good as a japanese toddler (The game says so) But It is really a funny way to learn, when you can use your DS. The games I'm currently playing are named "My japanese coach" And "Mind your language learn japanese"
The first one is the one i liked the most of theese two. I get words to learn, by playing different mini games and also learning how to draw the signs for the words, like in katakana or maybe hiragana and kanji. Fun nice and feels like I actually made some good afterward, Learning is the key to... ehm ehm...

Other than this I've been busy trying to find cheapest buy for the game "Walk with me" also called "Personal trainer: Walking" This game is simply just a keep track of how many steps you take each day... And that's for some kinda reason really really really intreseting for my at the moment... I'd love to have it right now so I could run around saying "EVERYBODY LOOK AT ME I'M GOING TO THE MOON"
You might wonder why I should or would scream something like that, It's beacuse all the people's steps should make so many steps that its more that enough to go to the moon or further... Haha nerdy and sporty... But that what Nintendo overall is trying to do, be the fintess of game consoles. Or at least it seems that way.

:3 Walk with me video in japanese. But it's easy to understand. :)

That will be all, I'm to tierd to stay awake.... Zzzzz

Been trying cheats...And made a swedish translation for the acekard firmware

Hi!

Since last time I've been really into trying to find out how to get some of my favourite Pokemon's to my Pokemon pearl game, And found out there's a sea full of useful cheats. I didn't get any of em working except one, and that cheat only gave me Mudkips, But mudkips rule! So I have nothing to feel sorry about. But when cheating to get the pokemons you want is really hard I understand why not many people cheat more with the pokemon games. :O
Now I need Squirtle, Charmander and Celebi.... XD

And yes I made a Swedish translation for the acekard firmware, I even mailed it to them so maybe it will be in the next firmware release who knows... If not I and who ever wants it can have it from me. I just replaced the netherlands language file with my swedish one. :)

I thinking of maybe buying a other flash card later on if it can support playing gba without slot 2 :O And snes, nes, gbc and so on... That would be so dreamy! hehe.

Got a reply on a forum that said, "Yes you can play gba on ds with a emulator use google"
I did search on google but the only things you find when you do is DS emulators for PC not for the Actual DS, Maybe I can find something out if I try some of the other firmwares that's up for downloading at acekards site... We'll see ^...'^

Peace out!

Done DPG:ing, Avalon code, Rhytm Heaven.

Hi!

I have been obsessed with trying to get nice working DPG files lately,
(DPG is the video file type that moonshell reads)
And I have to say, It will never come up to my real expectations of what a nice video on the DS should be like... But I think I have tried almost every DPG converter there is. And one thing that might surprise was that the program that I tried first was the one that worked best in the end.

The program I used was BatchDPG, I don't really know at all who programmed it but on every forum on the web people talks about it. When I first tried to use it, I got this message that man mencoder wasn't working. And after looking at all the other programs that you in most cases have to pay for the quality was no different from the free "BatchDPG".

And here is how I finally got it working.
First I downloaded
- AviSynth
- FFdshow Codec

from http://www.free-codecs.com
Went pretty fast and nothing weird.

Then I simply downloaded the program from http://rs97.rapidshare.com/files/32656294/BatchDPG_v1.3_beta_4.zip

And then It worked ^^ YATTA!

This is my set-up for the program, ^^
As you can see I'm going watch a lot of Naruto...hehe.
Another thing about watching videos in moonshell is that anime or cartoons like naruto or family guy, simpsons or whatever is to prefer watching. I for one would never convert a real life character movie or series because they look too flimsy, It's almost already too ugly for cartoon series. And the sub text in Naruto is just exactly the right size so you can read what it says.

I have been playing the game Avalon Code, (3504 - Avalon Code (U)(Xenophobia)

And this game really got me. It reminds me of a good Zelda game actually! A must try!
Since my acekard enables me to play every game I can find it's been hell too find games i really wanna play! And if you are like me and have a flash card I really recomend this game Rythm heaven too, At first it's kinda hard but then you get a hang of it and its really fun too, (3588 - Rhythm Heaven (U)(Xenophobia)
Small explenation would be, just as it says "Tap into the Rhytm" XDDD
Both this games got released this year so there very new. ^^

If someone has any nice tips of other music games other than guitar hero tour, wich cannot be played on DSI I would be happy to hear of them!

Cheerios on a toast!

Acekard 2i

Hi again! XD

So what can I tell you about Acekard 2i?
For you who might already be familiar with flash cards this might not be that frilling to read. XDD

Acekard is one of many different cards you can buy from 3rd part sellers of nintendo ds accessories.
This particular one is very easy to use. And that's mostly why I choose it.
The idea of flash cards in general is to play home made games or backups, for example downloading nds rom files and putting on the card. This card reads MicroSD cards so you can easily can get everything from your computer and on to the card.
You'll have to dowload the newest firmware from the manufacters webbsite, and put on the card before putting roms on it and etc. One cool thing I relly liked was that you could change the skin of the acekard skin inside the ds ;DDD
You can also use something called "Moonshell" on the card. Wich makes your DS into a mp3 and video player. Wich I relly think is the coolest. Sure DSI can already play music and has a SD slot reader on the left of it but it so stupid that it only plays AAC file type, the same type as Ipod's plat actually but it makes things extra hard to get to. Cause senserily you will not take the time to make your mp3 files to AAC files... Maybe it's just me but I hate that sort of things.
The bad thing about "Moonshell" right now is like I said about mp3 in ndsi orginal program the same you'll have to render your movie type files such as .AVI and .MKV into this really weird file system called "DPG". Here's a good guide how to, but i failed to do it, but I think I'm gonna make some more tries another day.

I strongly suggest everyone to buy this type of cards instead of buying each game one at a time in stores, and as with the music indusry or games in generall if you relly want to suport the ones making a particular game go buy it, but theres lots and lots of games for ds and why not try them for free first if you have the chance?

I bought my card from Dealextreme wich has the lowest price online and ships for free. The only bad thing was it took almost 3 weeks from that I orderd it and payed for it til' it came....

Right now I think the Acekard 2i is the only card that work properly on the dsi, but if you have an older vesion lika ds lite or ds phat, theres a big sea of different cards out there!

Tips for dowloading roms: http://www.romulation.net/downloads/
Great guide for installing moonshell on the acekard http://ds.gayadesign.nl/?p=19
(When setting up the moonshell acekard is not included in the list but i choiced supercard microsd alternative and it worked just fine!)
And guide for converting movies to be playble on the moonshell http://ds.gayadesign.nl/?p=23

I got the Acekard up and working right away, the problem now is mostly wich game I'm gonna play? :P From only having 2 games to... All the games I can get hold of is a big big big responsibility hehe...
Only had problems with one game so far and that was "2230 - The World Ends With You (E)(XMS).nds" So im going to try out the US version instead....

.... Have any questions I will be happy to answer some :)

That's it for today, might remake or update this post tough. I'm never happy with things I write...
Cheers!

New Nintendo DSI.

DS FEVER! XD

This is my first post hope you like it. :33

I'm gonna use this blogg to tell you about games I played and other game related matters, might not only be about Ds trough it all.

I had been wanting a Nintendo Ds since always,
and this spring I actually had some money for buying one. To my surprise a whole new version called Nintendo DSI was just out in stores. I would had been much cheaper for me to buy a old used Nds lite version from someone else. But sometimes you just have to smell that new thing smell of plastic that comes with new things. :3
So I bought it! XD
I also bought "Pokemon pearl "because pearl was the game that was hardest to get hold of in my city.
My DSI I bought was the black European version. It comes it Black or White.
And I was really really insecure that I had picked the right colour but then told myself that if I was too unhappy there's always vinyl skins to buy cheap. I actually have bought a vinyl skin for my laptop on this site. http://www.decalgirl.com/ And they have for ndsi and other game console too.
I also bought the game "Theme park" wich I had played before when I was little on PC.

If you click the pictures you'll go to the site gamespot.com where you can read more about the games and see what score from 0-10 they got. :3 I often use that site to see what games are any good too play.

Things I haven't tried out yet is, the wifi connection store or connecting up to internet at all so that will be a experience once I've got around to it.

This will be all for this post! Next post I will tell you about Acekart 2i!
